Lately, Venmo users have been experiencing difficulties with creating and using their business profiles effectively. These difficulties include a lack of proper organization and essential features. This has affected business profile users because the success of their business heavily depends on the creation and functionality of its profile. To address this problem, Venmo wants to take action by introducing the Business Profile Improvement Project in order to help small sellers thrive more comfortably.

Our product manager said the one future-state user flow variation of the Venmo Business Profile creation process we made was enough to move forward to the design phase with.
Our recommended solution successfully addressed all the pain-points we found in the answers to our user survey questions.
The stakeholder said our idea to allow users to select a custom business type and category was a good idea. She also suggested that we change the layout to a pill selection. She also liked our solution to the difficult accessibility of certain features by making the fields required along with the addition of extra contact links available for the user. The stakeholder also commented that our Venmo 5 star review system could use some revising by giving it more context. Finally, she believes certain parts of our final page could be rethought.
Our final design decision is to change the layout of the business type and category selection section to allow the user to select multiple categories and adding an option to create a custom category for the users. We will also organize the contact page creation in a way that will force the users to acknowledge their options to add any necessary links, socials, and/or review services. Finally, we decided that the final business owner page will include 2 additional buttons for collaborating and accessing past transactions. In addition, we will add a new “create a business profile” option to the drop down where the user can select between their personal and business profiles.
